Until now, no normal emulator with support for netplay. If you are using Linux, you will have to compile it from the source. I'm trying to find out if netplay just isn't supported anymore, or if I'm doing something wrong, since I can't get netplay to work on emulators like Kega Fusion and others with similar netplay.
If it is me, is there some step I'm missing between just loading the game and starting netplay up? You and your partner will need to have some port configured to be open on UDP.

There use to be services like Zbattle and there is Z-Net, but none of these things are for Microsoft Windows, so wish you luck getting these to work in Linux. RN was getting none of these problems. It's more designed for LAN play rather than over the internet.

About netplay in general If you're having problems with Snes9x, or think you've found a bug, this is the place to be. Standard netplay sucks and needs refinement. Game specific hacks are everywhere in the code and those, along with the netcode which was experimental since day 1 of its introduction is a headache making obstacle in development.
Well, at least, this is what I always thought.
I believe netplay is only in version 1. If that proves unsuccessful You can tell by zSNES freezing up for metplay a minute when attempting to connecttry configuring your router s port settings.
